A Great Start to the New Year

Jan 18, 2018 | Events

It was a very busy January for Rebel Heart. We brought in the new year by donating nearly 100 hours worth of time and equipment to help prepare the festival grounds for the the 10th Annual Deep Freeze Festival.

The Deep Freeze Festival, as described on their website, is “…a free family event that brings together Ukrainian, Franco-Albertan, Franco-African, Indigenous, and Acadian/East Coast communities to revel in the magic and beauty of winter.

Covering 4 blocks along 118th Avenue, it’s a pretty big job. In the past, Josh Laczko – the company president, would go out by himself and pull an all-nighter to get the work done. This year he needed to call in a few more of the Rebel Heart crew to help make sure everything was ready to go.
